Op Ed from Senator Russell Pearce:
I normally try to not criticize candidates, but, in this contest for the next Maricopa County Attorney, you must know the truth regarding what is happening with the Board of Supervisors’ hand picked Interim County Attorney, Rick Romley.
Rick Romley was appointed to NOT continue to investigate indictments made by the Maricopa County Grand Jury of impropriety by some of these same Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. Rick Romley was appointed to NOT work with Sheriff Joe Arpaio in the enforcement of federal and state laws regarding illegals and the law breaking businesses who knowingly hire them.
The supporters of Rick Romley are liberals that support open border, amnesty policies. They have a track record of suing the State of Arizona on: Prop. 200 (which was passed by your legislature to fight welfare and voting fraud); The Employer Sanctions Law, that was passed to prevent the illegal hiring of illegal aliens and protecting jobs for Americans. They also funded Prop. 202 in ’08 that would have gutted Arizona’s Legal Workers Act after they lost in the courts and their actions cost the State of Arizona and you – the taxpayer – millions to defend the Rule of Law.
Rick Romley placed his hand on the bible fully understanding the responsibilities of his office and freely took the Oath of Office. He swore an oath to God and the people of Arizona to uphold ALL of our laws.
After making that solemn oath, Rick Romley publicly stated his position to not prosecute employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens and his refusal to enforce Arizona’s Legal Workers Act. He defiantly stated he will not enforce our Human Smuggling laws as intended by the legislature and upheld by the courts.
Now, in a bizarre action for any law enforcement official, Mr. Romley has put out a memo to politically appointed Police Chiefs who work for open border mayors on how NOT to enforce SB1070. These are the Profits over Patriotism scofflaws who have NO respect for the laws of this land who are being given legal advice on how to flaunt the law from the person sworn to uphold that law.
This is a treasonous attempt to circumvent both the law and the will of the people. How many more Rob Krentz’s have to die before Rick Romley decides we must enforce our laws?
I am outraged that Rick Romley continues to ignore the 12 Phoenix Police Officers who have been killed or seriously maimed by illegal aliens. How can he in good conscience ignore the fact Phoenix is #2 in the world in kidnappings? How can he continue to ignore the $2.7 billion a year in cost to educate, medicate and incarcerate illegal aliens in Arizona? How can he continue to allow employers to daily hire illegal workers, especially in an economy where over 20% of Arizonans are out of work?
The Bottom Line? Maricopa County voters are fortunate that there is an alternative on the Republican Ballot for Maricopa County Attorney. A candidate who is a great Patriot, who was raised in East LA by a single mom and made it the old fashion way – through hard work and diligence. A patriot who graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and served his nation as a tank commander in Desert Storm. A patriot unwavering in his great love for our Founding Principles and the rule of law.
That patriot is Bill Montgomery, a man we are and will continue to be proud of. I personally have known and worked with Bill Montgomery for many years. I support the candidacy of Bill Montgomery 100%. Now it is up to you to make sure the citizens of Maricopa are protected by the Maricopa County Attorney from the criminal consequences of the foreign invasion of our county. Please join me in working for and voting for Bill Montgomery as our County Attorney.
Honorably,
Senator Russell Pearce

Sounds like my kinda guy. Romley was on John Hooks Newsmaker Sunday show and affirmed Russell Pearce’s allegations above. My suggestion, do not vote for Romley.
Great!! Lets start enforcing our laws & secure our boarders and take back Arizona!! If Russell Pearce endorses you then you have my vote..
There is not enough space or time to fully describe how bad Romley really is. Like McCain, he has gotten a lot of mileage out of his war injuries, but he is most certainly bought and paid for my a corrupt Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, with special emphasis on Stapley and Wilcox, but all of them are rotten to the core. So we need to not only make sure Romley retires for good, we also need to totally change the name plates of the Board of Supervisors. None of them are worth a imitation dime.

Thank you Russell for pointing out the trouble we are in. Our borders are not secure and our politicians are still playing games. It’s time to get the crooks out and elect moral and virtuous leaders.
I knew I didn’t want to vote for Romley but didn’t know about Montgomery. Thanks for telling me about him. My vote will be for Bill Montgomery.

Can’t stand Wilcox,Stapley,or Romley! The best Sheriff and County attorney is what is needed to keep on hammering these liberal idiots, until we get the rule of law back from the elitists in govt.
We’ve known & worked with Russell for many years, if he says Bill Montgomery is the best selection for Maricopa County Attorney, then we will vote for Bill!!
Keep up the good work Russell, don’t know what we’d do without you!

Bill Montgomery is an outstanding individual who is a superior candidate especially when compared with that liberal mediocrity Rick Romley. I strongly support the election of Bill Montgomery as County Attorney.
I want to quote your post in my blog. It can?
